An attempt at a fair deal for the Pelicans. Could the Lakers use those assets to try and get someone else, maybe, to me that's the primary question invovlving the Lakers, but I do think it would improve the team if they did this deal.
Lakers land a former All-Defensive versatile and impactful defender on a great contract.
Pelicans get an expiring contract that adds some PG depth this season, a young-ish shooting wing and, more importantly, a 1st round pick, a 2nd round pick and a swap that we don't expect to convey, but hey, there's always a chance.
Forgot to mention, but another difficulty is suitors, teams could potentially offer a better package than this regardless.
