GRIZZLIES

For the first few games Brooks has known his role behind Ja and Bane, but once JJJ returns and he falls further to the back of the line, I'm not sure he would be able to play as free as he's used to, which seems to be the best way to leverage his skillset.

EG should fit like a glove either as a starter next to Ja and Bane or off the bench. Being more efficient while not taking shots away from Ja, Bane or a returning JJJ makes him a better fit for this team who want to make a splash in the post season IMo.

6ERS

Turns out what they need from the bench isn't another ball handler, since there seems to be one of Harden or Maxey on the court at all times. Maybe a sparkplug who isn't afraid to shoot and can get his own shot is what they need? Meltons minutes so far are concerning, and since he hasn't been able to lead the 2nd unit with the ball in his hands, I'm not sure he's being used to his potential. Though he's a great defender, Brooks size gives him the edge.

ROCKETS

Still lacking that playmaker off the bench, Melton should balance a team still trying to figure out what they're doing outside of Jalen Green. Melton as a more "traditional" one guard would be a better 1-2 with KPJ than any of Nix, Washington or Christopher would be. Moving EG would also free up more playing time for KJ Martin and Tari Eason.
