Bucks/Rockets/Celtics 3-Team Trade

FAILED

Bucks

If Giannis were to be available, Bucks will have a ton of suitors. The baseline will probably be 1-2 solid young players and 5 first round picks. That's what they get here. Primary issue is whether or not the 1st Rounders are good enough and if the young players are good enough.

Rockets

Rockets have expressed interest in Jaylen Brown in the past. Udoka was his head coach in Boston and they had a very tight bond. The primary question here is whether Brown is worth 2 solid young pieces and 2 first round picks. One thing I like about this trade is that the Rockets keep enough salaries and 1st Rounders in their pocket in order to make another trade, (a future star PG perhaps).

Celtics

No brainer for the Celtics here. The only real question is whether they want to throw their team for a loop when they have such a great thing going on right now. For the Celtics, if they want to get in on the Giannis sweepstakes, they likely don't try until this off-season, which makes things much tougher for them logistically speaking.

Conclusion

Unlikely, but I thought it'd be interesting to see if a Brown + 1st Rounder for Giannis trade could work. Probably not. Maybe you could figure something out with the Spurs or Jazz or something.
