The Blazers don't like what Miami has to offer, and are looking for another suitor. Minny is a bit out of the box, but it makes a lot of sense, when you think about it.

The Blazers aren't going to get a player better than KAT back in a Dame trade. KAT is 27 and locked up for 4 more years, so he could fit the timeline if Scoot/Sharpe are ready to start winning in the next couple of years. If not, KAT should still be a major asset to trade down the line. Either way, he fits a position of long term need in Portland, because Nurk is as good as gone once Dame is out the door.

For the Wolves, they went all-in on Gobert last year. He's 31, so him and Dame should be on a similar aging curve. Dame and ANT would be an amazing backcourt fit. Gobert would anchor the defence along with Jaden McDaniels on the wing. It would be a clean fit and would give the Wolves the chance to actually be a serious contender.
