WHO WINS?

At this point in time, Zion's trade value is unknown. Considering what other players have gone for recently, this wouldn't surprise me as a possible package. De'Andre Hunter is a valuable high level two way role player, and three first rounders should be enough to get the Pelicans to bite. The lob threat and two-man between Trae and Zion would be elite, especially considering Jalen Johnson as a complementary piece. Zion also provides an optimal level of secondary ball handling that the Hawks attempted to find in Dejounte Murray. The Hawks also get this done without giving up any of their young core, namely first overall pick Zaccharie Risacher. The Pelicans have been vocal about their desire to make a big move at the deadline. After Dejounte Murray's injury and their horrible start, this is a tanking year for them. That being said, this trade provides the pelicans with considerable draft capital, and players as compensation. The Zion market is very unknown, but it's hard to imagine getting much more than a good player, role player, and three first rounders.

Seems like a win-win. Who says no?
