Warriors send out Kuminga, Hield + picks for Simons and Camara

The Warriors had hopes to win another championship this year despite being the underdogs in almost every series. But, when they lost, many fans noticed a lot of glaring issues. Firstly, Kuminga couldn't find consistent minutes until Curry was injured early in the Minnesota series. Although he did step up and earned 25 minutes+ in that series, putting up amazing numbers both offensively and even defensively, it is still clear Kerr can't insert him in this championship core even if he wanted to. To fix this issue, Warriors look to put him in a sign and trade. Anfernee Simons is quietly available and would be a phenomenal fit on this roster. By sending out Kuminga, Hield and picks, they are able to get not just Simons, but also Toumani Camara. When Curry was out, it was clear that the offense was struggling tremendously. Hield, Podz and others clearly couldn't step up to make up for the loss of Curry and the struggles of Butler. Anfernee Simons is a knockdown shooter, just like Klay, just like Hield. In that regards, it is a great fit for the Warriors. But, what makes Simons stand out is that he is a good ball handler and slasher and he is also fast, young and athletic. Simons has prior experience being the main guy on a rebuilding Trailblazers team, which helps out Curry. He is also great off-ball, which helps out Kerr's offense. Camara is a big deal too. He is a defensive monster and Green can take him under his wing.

Blazers send out Simons and Camara for Kuminga, Hield + picks

For any rebuilding team like the Blazers, it is always a win to get younger and more draft capital. That is what they essentially did. Although it is tough sending out Simons, he was on an expiring deal looking for a big deal and this is one of the best offers that you can get him for. In addition, sending Simons out will allow more basketball for Sharpe and Scoot, two young players who is looking to make that next step. Camara did play amazing basketball from the very point he was drafted, but turns out Kuminga is a lot younger with tons of potential and NBA experience already than Camara; therefore his ceiling is higher than both players. Hield was kind of the throw in player, and you can argue the Blazers would rather have Moody, but I thought Hield would bring some leadership, exceptional 3 point shooting and experience
