Kings move Huerter and a 2nd for Brooks, to be the defensive presence between Keegan and DeMar. Could very likely come off the bench too if Monk starts. DB has been shooting.. well? From 3 this season but his defense has been elite as always. People will still have their issues with DB but in Houston he has been fantastic. And I say that as someone who HATED the signing when it happened.
Brooklyn head into rebuild and take on Jocks contract which is essentially an expiring (team option on each year), and could get some more value out of Huerter down the road. Most importantly they get their unprotected swap back from Houston, who probably won't give that up for anything less that a great role player like Cam. Otherwise they could shop it for another similar player, but then Brooklyn runs the risk of having to negotiate with THAT team (devil you know kinda thing). Not wanting to pay Sharpe, they move his contract.
Houston reset for the playoffs. Dillon Brooks has been nothing short of great during his time in Houston. Honestly. I've loved having him on my team. But he's an embarrassment of riches with Amen and Tari more than capable to step into his role. Cam gives this team desperately needed shooting and Sharp is a break in case of emergency for Adams. Tbh Sharpe is the exact kind of player Houston should take a swing on with Steves contract ending next year. Cam should be able to help straight away and fill in for Jabari Smith while he's out injured.
