Warriors add much needed center depth in this deal - Nets don't get an amazing haul by any means but a realistic one (money works). Brooklyn is hoping to get an unprotected pick in a deal involving Claxton - but they just aren't, especially in a deal that sends them young talent. Kuminga is why you make this trade if you are Brooklyn, maybe they buy into his stock?
Warriors shed Horford and Kuminga who has struggled so far this warriors season and get a huge upgrade. This move along with a move for the likes of a Herb Jones or Keon Ellis feels really good - then you have yourself a playoff team. Warriors could also swap Horford for Podz and money would still work - but I think Warriors would be better off using Podz for another trade (like one for Keon Ellis which you could do 1 for 1).
