the offensive firepower needed for a rockets contender?

the suns obviously need to clear the deck. two of the swaps here are returns (they're getting the right back to their own pick if more favorable). note: that 2029 1st is actually a right to ++two++ firsts "HOU will receive the two most favorable of its 2029 1st round pick, DAL' 2029 1st round pick and PHX's 2029 1st round pick and BKN will receive the least favorable of the three (via DAL and PHX to BKN; via DAL or PHX to HOU; via HOU's right to swap for DAL or PHX)" putting this into phx control I think means that they'd hold the right to the two most favorable of their own, Dallas' and BKN's 1sts. Dallas 2029 first looking tasty at this rate 🤦‍♂️

there isn't necessarily a ton of value in the jalen green or jabari smith jr stocks, but it's not out of the question that one or both develop a lot of value in the future. eason is a freaky defender and transition threat. all three could very well be at least key rotation on a future serious phx team if things go reasonably right (there is obviously higher percentile outcomes than key rotation with the former top 3 picks).

for houston, .. well we saw some of the issue tonight. plenty of offensive talent on the team, but the shooting isn't good enough for a group without a game-breaking scorer. while the eason loss hurts on D, amen has generational defensive potential and udoka will keep prioritizing D w his coaching style. on the offensive side, there is possibly a very high offensive ceiling for a book/amen/sengun core
