Lakers:

Lakers could definitely use another guard and although this isn't necessarily a star player, Dennis is still a strong rotational piece. Certainly better than the production of Gabe Vincent and JHS. Dennis can definitely give you great minutes and JJ can insert in many actions because he is a decent playmaker and ball-handler. Along with that he is an okay shooter and good slasher. I mean already know what Dennis can bring to the Lakers because he was there a year ago.

Nets:

They send a veteran guard for a veteran guard back (allows for a new voice in the locker room). Gabe Vincent is also primarily a shooter, so having him can space the floor. He is locked for this year and next year, so within that time he can be part of another trade in the Net's future. In addition, they get Jalen Hood-Schifino, who struggled being on the Lakers, and now he has a shot to excel on a rebuilding Nets.
