By trading Reaves the Lakers land Giannis, the Bucks send Austin to the Hawks for a young 3&D wing and some control of their picks, the warriors get a spacing rim protecting big they have been looking for while getting off kuminga, and the kings apparently like kuzma, so the bucks get DeRozan to be the veteran of the rebuild. This is the only way the Lakers land Giannis, any other package isn't enough for the bucks, and the idea of recreating a possibly better shaq and Kobe makes them spend big. The Hawks get a young rising star to pair with Jaylon Johnson, that is a much better fit than Trae who can be shipped off to the highest bidder. The Bucks get two shots at a top 3 pick in 2026 by tanking this year, while having Kuminga become a major part of the offense to see if he has the star ability. They also get a good upside warriors pick and a bunch of laker picks to help get more bites at the apple. They could also flip any of the Lakers players that are needed to fill salary at the deadline to contending teams looking for depth for even more draft compensation. Overall it's a pretty good return for Giannis, although the Hawks could just outright beat this deal by adding Johnson or the Spurs if they are willing to part with Harper. I still think Giannis won't leave during the season but if this is the return I will be excited to see how this team can rebuild as this is a good jumping off point.
