The Blazers owe Lilard an attempt at a ring, and unless the West gets stronger next year which it could. This move makes the Blazers significantly better. Dame needs prayers who defend next to him. This deal adds PG to go along with Grant. All three are 20+ ppg scorers and from there you can figure it out.

The Clippers do this because Butler is a better fit Culturally than PG. Butler is an outspoken leader, who will hold everyone accountable. Jimmy Butler was Kawhi’s first choice but they ultimately ended up with Paul George.

The Heat do this to hit the reset real quick. They’d get two promising young phenoms and 2 firsts to quickly retool. Simmons, Herro, Sharpe, Bam is a nice little nucleus plus they have vets and they draft well. With the Heat barely making the playoffs they might be thinking it’s time to move on.
