It seems the Pelicans have had a tough time finding anyone who wants BI since he's currently seeking a contract between $45M and $50M per year. With that being said, I could see them accepting a package that seems smaller than what they could have gotten. I think the Raptors could take advantage and be the team that signs him to a long term deal.

The Raptors are a young team and BI is only 26 years old meaning an extension would keep him in Toronto until his age 31 season. He would fit perfectly on a team consisting of Quickley (25), RJ (24), Scottie (23), and Poeltl (28). This team could grow into a championship contender as each of these guys develop into better players and some of the older teams out East begin to fall off.

The Pelicans don't have to worry about paying Ingram and open up more playing time for Herb Jones and Trey Murphy. They bring back a starting center in Kelly Olynyk that they desperately need, a do-it-all role player in Bruce Brown who can basically play 1-4, and a lightly protected FRP. This gives the team more depth where it is needed and adds to the treasure trove of picks they have built up and can eventually use to trade for a disgruntled star.
