The Hawks will not be able to confirm onto their first pick this season because a)It's almost impossible to rebuild and b) the Hawks don't have picks to draft young talent. The safe thing to do is now is to continue to build around Trae Young. Sure, It may be a fluke, but Trae young led the Atlanta Hawks all the way to the conference finals. Just imagine a team where he can just abuse the pick and roll, and lob it up. Honestly the only thing the Hawks need is a competent coach. To some, this trade might be an overpay, to others this might be under pay, this is because the Hornets are trading for a shaky rookie.
