Jrue is old but still a really good defensive guard even though he's lost half a step there. He can also shoot the 3 and play off the ball fairly well, evidenced in NOLA and the Bucks next to guys like Rondo, Lonzo, and BI, and Giannis being somewhat of a point forward w/the Bucks. Plus he's from LA and apparently grew up a Laker fan.
A rotation of the following should be very solid although they do need a reliable backup 5 to become in that top/2nd tier of contenders(Tier 2 in the west IMO are Denver and Houston w/OKC being tier 1):
C. Ayton F. Rui F. Bron G. Jrue G. Luka
Reaves B: Smart, LaRavia, Knecht, Hayes
The Blazers get off the Jrue contract and tbh Jrue is expendable at this point for Portland because of the brought back Dame. and he(Jrue) probably wants to be on a contender/at the very least a legit playoff team.
