SUCCESS

Mega Trade: Sixers Outgoing: G Kelly Oubre Jr., 3rd overall pick, 2027 2RP via PHX, 2028 2RP Incoming: 4th overall pick, F Cameron Johnson Why? Ace Bailey’s eagerness not to be a Sixers causes Philadelphia to move out of the 3rd overall pick, they take advantage of the Draft beginning in Brooklyn and the Nets willingness to make a splash. In exchange for moving down one spot, a few seconds and a player who most likely is getting traded this offseason they acquire a solidified four, something they have been searching for years.

Nets Outgoing; F Cameron Johnson, 8th overall pick, 19th overall pick Incoming: C Jukic Nurkic, 3rd overall pick Why? Ace Bailey enough said. You are jumping the Wizard and the Pelicans (The other two teams Ace mentioned he wanted to play for) for a guy who will be a star in this league for a long time. A stud wing to play along side Cam Thomas for years to come. And for what price? A vet on a rebuilding team, one of your FIVE first round picks, and taking on Jukic Nurkic’s contract? Seems like a no brainer. Yes, Cam Johnson is good, but he is not in your championship window, so the Nets have no problem shipping him out of town for a future superstar. Hornets

Outgoing: 4th overall pick, C Jukic Nurkic Incoming: G Kelly Oubre Jr., 8th overall pick, 19th overall pick, 2027 2RP from PHI via PHX, 2028 2RP via PHI Why? The Hornets have been mocked to take G Tre Johnson or G VJ Edgecomb for the past months, but I believe they will look to go a different direction with their pick. With Mark Williams seemingly on the trade block I think it only makes sense for them to draft a big. Drafting Maryland C Derrick Queen at #4 may be a bit of a reach, giving the Hornets the flexibility to move down and acquire more assets in this year’s draft, and that’s exactly what they do. In exchange for #4 you’re getting the chance to take the Big of your future at #8, along with another top 20 pick, and getting off of the Nurkic Contract a year earlier. If I am the Hornets I would love this trade.

Sixers Mock Offseason:

Post Blockbuster the sixers only have three real concerns: Who to take at #4, Getting out of cap hell and acquiring Depth. The Sixers have their pick of G Tre Johnson or G VJ Edgecomb to play alongside Maxey and allowing McCain to be your scorer off the bench. The Sixers starters seem to be set in this scenario, but they need to clear cap to build a sufficient bench.

Clearing Cap: Sixers and Warriors strike a deal

Sixers acquire: 41st Overall pick, around $9 million in cap space Warriors acquire: G Eric Gordon, C Andre Drummond, 35th overall pick Why? Sixers move down a few spots in the second round to clear cap while the Warriors get two good bench pieces in a depleted roster, seems like a handshake waiting to happen.

Draft:

4 – G VJ Edgecomb, Baylor

Getting a defensive minded Guard to play along side Maxey makes all the sense in the world. The sixers don’t need more scoring with Maxey, Embiid, PG and Johnson in the rotation. Edgecomb is the easy pick here.

41 – F Adou Thiero, Arkansas

This is another easy pick for the Sixers, with the possibility of Yabusele not resigning getting a backup PF is an easy pic for the Sixers.

Free Agency:

While The Sixers don’t have a ton of cap space their #1 priority should be filling out their bench to create a complete roster as they hope to push for a title.

Resign PF Guerschon Yabusele 2yr/$10million Bringing back Yabusele should be a no brainer for PHI, he played great minutes off the bench and as a starter and gives them position flexibility off the bench as he can run anywhere from the 3-5. Sign G Gary Trent Jr. 2yr/$4.4million minimum A good 3 and D G coming off the bench next to McCain sounds ideal for this Philadelphia bench unit. Sign C/PF Marvin Bagley III 1yr/$3.2 million Depth, Depth, Depth. The sixers need plenty of depth at the C position with Embiid’s Injury history. Here they sign a guy who played meaningful minutes and showed good flashes for the Grizzlys last year. Low Risk, High Reward signing for the Sixers. Accept Team Options for the following: G Jared Bulter, G Lonnie Walker IV, G/F Justin Edwards

Roster PG: Maxey, McCain, Butler SG: Edgecomb, Trent Jr., Walker IV SF: George, Counsil, Edwards PF: Johnson, Yabusele, Therio C: Embiid, Bona, Bagley

Nets Mock Offseason:

After the Huge Blockbuster to go get Ace Bailey it is clear the Nets rebuild is taking a turn for the better. Their main concern this offseason should be to nail the draft where they have 5 picks, lock up a young core that can grow and blossom together, following a similar path to what the Thunder did. Draft:

3 – F Ace Bailey, Rutgers

Pretty easy pick for the Nets here. Generational player, he wants to be in Brooklyn and will pair well alongside G Cam Thomas who the Nets will look to resign.

#22 – G/F Hugo Gonzalez, Real Madrid

With trading away F Cam Johnson the Nets have a clear need for the wing position. Hugo could join this team filling that void left by the departure of Johnson. An easy pick for Brooklyn if Hugo is still on the board at 22.

26 – G Nique Clifford, Colorado State

While the Nets would be lucky to have Nique fall this far I think it is definitely a possibility. With the Nets glaring need at this position, it would be a no brainer for the Nets to select him here.

#27- C Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton

Being one of the best shot blockers in the class, Kalkbrenner could be the ideal backup to Claxton, even possibly playing alongside of him.

#36- F Sion James, Duke

A older prospect who will come ready to play after a heartbreaking loss in March. A rookie who will act like a vet in year one for this young Brooklyn team

Free Agency:

The Nets should have two goals this offseason. Resign Cam Thomas and bring in a third star to play next to him and Ace Bailey

Resign G Cam Thomas 3yrs/$82 million Give him whatever he wants. He is your home-grown star, good fit with Bailey and provides a huge scoring upside. No reason to let him walk. Sign F Johnathan Kamminga 4yr/$120 million Your third star that will fit right in next to Ace and Cam. Yes this is a risky signing but it is the type of siding you need to hit on if you want to compete for a championship. Resign F Zaire Williams 2yr/$24 million Might be a bit of an overpay for Zaire but with the hope of his three point shot developing, if the Nets are smart they will do what they can to keep the 6’9 21-year-old in Brooklyn. He will provide the length and defensive you look for out of a bench. Sign G Davion Micthell 2yr/$5 million Low Risk, High Reward signing. Mitchell has shown flashes of good play throughout his career and with hope to re-spark some of that he takes a cheap contract where he and the Nets hope he can be that sparkplug off the bench. Accept Team Options for the following: F Noah Clowney, G Dariq Whitehead, G Keon Johnson Roster PG: Clifford, Mitchell SG: Thomas, Gonzalez, Johnson SF: Bailey, Williams, Whitehead, Lewis PF: Kuminga, Clowney, James, Timme C: Claxton, Kalkbrenner, Nurkic

Hornets Mock Offseason:

The Hornets are a team that needs to commit to a rebuild or go all in. This front office is a mess, and I can’t see that changing after this offseason. This team needs to put players around star G LeMelo Ball before he gets more upset and requests out.

Draft:

8 – C Derrick Queen, Maryland

With Mark Williams seemingly on the trade block I think it only makes sense for them to draft a big. Drafting Maryland C Derrick Queen. Queen is a spacing big who will work well with Ball to create a dynamic 1-2 punch on offense.

#19 – G/F Liam McNeeley, UConn

With Tre Mann likely leaving in free agency you need to lock up a guy to play on the wing and score next to Ball and Queen. A good offensive player who will complement these two quite well. Could also be used as a spark plug off the bench depending on who you want to start between him and Miller.

33 – C Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Penn State

Pretty simple pick. You are in need of a back up big and an the start of the second round you have a good big with experience who is ready to jump into an NBA lineup, easy pick

34- G Tyreese Proctor, Duke

You can never go wrong with a Guard from Duke, especially when you are in need of a backup to Ball. If he is still on the board, I don’t see how Charlotte doesn’t pull the trigger Running it back: Hornets and Lakers finally complete the trade Hornets: F Dalton Knecht, 2026 1RP vis LAL Lakers: C Mark Williams After drafting C Derrick Queen finally completing this trade that was supposed to be done last trade deadline seems almost perfect for both sides. Hornets get a good young prospect, and the Lakers get their much needed Center.

Free Agency: Sign G/F Josh Giddey 4yr/$120 Million You get your facilitating, defensive two/three. This signing makes almost too much sense for Charlotte. It gives them a facilitating Guard in a rotation of shoot first players, exactly what they need Accept Team Options for the following: F Bradon Miller Roster PG: Ball, Proctor, Jeffries, Gonzalez, Johnson SG: Giddey, McNeeley, Green, Okogie SF: Miller, Knecht, Oubre PF: Bridges, Williams, Salaun C: Queen, Diabate, Niederhauser
