I believe this trade could work for both parties involved:

For Sacramento: As presently constructed, YOU ARE GOING NOWHERE. So why not just rebuild? It is going to be tough to trade DeRozan and Lavine from their contracts so why not just trade Sabonis, one of the players that has good trade value.

For Charlotte: Adding Sabonis to this team as well as having the 4th overall pick to draft a great rookie could make this team headed towards the play-in and possibly towards the playoffs. You have a player like Sabonis that can post-up and pass-first which can help this team offensively.
