Please give feedback on this trade as I have many variations to make it as realistic and viable as possible! Thanks!
well i'm a suns fan so i might be biased on this one, but i'll try to explain why each team could do this trade.
Suns: get likely the most benefit out of the trade, by adding one of the best wing defenders in the league in Herb Jones, while upgrading the C position by getting rid of Nurkic and landing Walker Kessler, who averaged over 2 blocks and is still in his rookie contract, while having somewhat similar stats. this addresses their second biggest issue, their lack of defense, since turnovers will no longer be a problem when you have Tyus Jones on the team. Also, they save about 9M with these trades, some very important money that somewhat gets them out of the cap hell they're in. The only issue is that they will sacrifice their future for a shot, and if that doesn't work, it's quite literally over for them. Their window is small and Durant isn't getting any younger, so they have about two seasons to get their stuff together to try and win it all.
Pelicans: With so many trade rumours going around on Brandon Ingram leaving New Orleans, the Pelicans finally find a destination in Washington. They get very good assets with a FRP and depth in return, by adding Kyle Kuzma and Corey Kispert, who are on much friendlier deals. Also, they add a starting caliber Center in Nurkic which they desperately need, and stay in contention for a higher spot in the west depending on Zion's health.
Jazz: Kessler's value is at an all time low, as he lost his starting spot and most likely will get replaced by the team's new addition, Kyle Filipowski. As such, they let go of him and recieve a familiar face and solid rotational player in Royce O'Neale, that fills their need for a Small Forward, while getting the Suns' 2031 FRP they asked for when negotiations around Kessler to the Suns were being set.
Wizards: By far the team that is most likely to say no to this deal, as they are a rebuilding team that does not want Ingram's 36 Million dollar contract, but the added 3 second-rounders and the possibility of Ingram being rerouted to a buying team that will give them the assets they want, as he is on the last year of his deal, might make them budge. Besides, even if they end up not trading him, they can let him go in free agency and free up that cap space to sign some new players. They're still going to be rebuilding for a while, so one year of BI doesn't hurt them as much.
