In a scenario where Scoot Henderson falls to Portland at pick three, here is a trade where the Orlando Magic move up to get the rights to draft him.

Orlando trades #6, #11, and Wendell Carter Jr. To Portland in exchange for the #3 overall pick (Scoot Henderson) and Jusuf Nurkic.

The Nets trade Mikal Bridges and Dorian Finney Smith to Portland in exchange for Anfernee Simons, Nassir Little, #6, and #11 overall picks.

The Aftermath:

1) Portland loads up with athletic, defensive minded talent to build around Damian Lillard, acquiring Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney Smith, and Wendell Carter Jr.

These additions better suit what Damian Lillard needs around him, creating a new Starting 5:

• Damian Lillard at PG,

• Shaedon Sharpe at SG,

• Mikal Bridges at SF,

• Jerami Grant at PF,

• Wendell Carter Jr. at C.

• Dorian Finney Smith is a starting caliber Wing that plays hard on defense, and brings so many intangibles to Portland as they gear up to make a run at the playoffs. DFS could also start at SF pushing Mikal to SG and Shaedon to 6th man.

Portland still has it’s other picks to continue to fill out depth.

2) Orlando moves up to acquire Scoot Henderson, which would be the #1 overall pick in many other drafts, trading their #6 and #11 picks, Wendell Carter Jr., and marginally downgrading at Center to Jusuf Nurkic as a way to make that happen.

3) Brooklyn receives picks #6, #11, Anfernee Simons, and Nassir Little, positioning them with Simons as the future PG they look to develop, a solid young Wing in Nassir Little, and the #6 & #11 overall picks in an absolutely stacked draft to kick off their rebuild.
