With VanVleet injured and no consistent option at point guard, the Rockets could really use a quality player at that position. Especially if they want to contend in the Wild-West

• Harden fits the Rockets play-style to a T and is still one of the best playmakers in the league. With all the size Houston has, Harden would feast in the pick and roll

• Harden and Thompson in the backcourt is also a great fit. Harden makes up for Thompsons lack of shooting and Thompson makes up for Hardens lack of defence

• KD and Harden are great friends and have played together before, so the chemistry is there

• Harden would love the idea of retiring in Houston and better yet, potentially winning a ring there
