Portland:
Huge Trade here for the blazers with a huge asset flip acquiring multiple firsts including an unprotected 2026 Orlando Pick and a less upside Denver first in 2025 top 5 protected. Simons has been a brilliant young player for them this season even though he has been injury plagued he has still shown his talent and skill as a on ball creator who has is an absolute flame thrower from beyond the arc paired with his explosive athleticism and finishing around the rim makes him a valuable piece to a young team. This return is around the best you can get for a non 2 way all start player even with his youth. Jonathon Isaac is a poor contract but he could provide some real quality minutes on this magic team and he is certainly a better player then Duop Reath (who has had a sneakily underrated season shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc on 3.6 attempts a game) and Jabari walker at the 4-5 positions and Joe ingles is a solid veteran player in the locker room on an expiring contract. the 2 seconds are also not terrible and the lakers and wizards 2028 second is pretty valuable as far as second rounders go.
Orlando:
With Zach Lavine injured for the season and Orlando needing to find a player with a offensive minded skillset to bolster their playoff chances Anfernee Simons fits this role perfectly. he is young, athletic, a lethal shooter, everything this magic team needs to aid Franz and Paolo on the offensive end and his defense can still be hidden by Jalen Suggs, Fultz and Gary Harris on the perimeter.
