The Lakers get Javonte Green, who will provided much needed assistance for a Lakers team that doesn't know how to defend. They also get Caris LeVert, but let's not pretend that's a good thing.

In return, the Pistons get a distraught asset in Knecht, hoping a change of scenery can be beneficial for his development, and an equally useless player in Rui to replace LeVert. The big benefit for the Pistons here is that, in return for giving up a great defender, they free up 18 million from Rui in the off-season, which is a great thing in terms of cap flexibility.

Of course, I'm not a fan of either team, so maybe some swaps or seconds need to trade hands. Let me know what you think!
