StephForMVP Trade Challenge #2 (Lakers get shooting, Hawks add wing defense, Raps clear up big men depth, Kings get depth)

SUCCESS

Why Atlanta does it: Now I understand the Hawks just traded Cam Reddish to New York so that they can clear up some wing minutes but it never hurts to have more. Ariza has playoff experience, can shoot and defend and is a great locker room presence to help mentor the younger guys. They also get rid of Dieng to welcome Onyeka Okongwu back into the rotation.

Lineups:

Bench:

Delon-Huerter-Ariza-Gallinari-Okongwu

Why Toronto does it: This year, the Raptors are having a huge problem opposite to last year. Last year, they struggled with having big men but this year they have too many! Boucher, Birch, Barnes, Achiuwa, Siakam are just a few to name. They get Nunn who's a great backup scoring guard and Bazemore as a veteran to shoot and help develop some of the younger guys.

Lineups:

Bench:

Nunn-Svi-Yuta-Achiuwa-Birch

Why Sacramento does it: The Kings have been quite bad this year considering Fox is underperforming and nothing is going to plan. They finally deal Hield and get a package that can hopefully make them a play-in team. Ellington replaces Hield's shooting somewhat, THT becomes the young guard to play with Davion, Bradley adds much necessary defense and DJ is just a throw-in as a 3rd string C for Sac-Town.

Lineups:

Fox-Hali-Barnes-Bagley-Holmes

Bench:

Davion-Bradley/Ellington-THT-Metu-Thompson

Why the Lakers do it: OK, I can confidently say I predicted this would happen. The Lakers got stacked last year after their ring but underperformed and it's happening again. TBH, depth isn't as important because they have 2 stars and a very good starter. They give up depth but get shooters. Hield can start at the 2, Dieng as a backup big men who stretches the floor and Boucher to block shots and knock down 3s.

Lineups:

Russ-Hield-LBJ-Davis-Boucher

Bench:

Reaves-Monk-Anthony-Stanley-Dieng
