Markkanen's efficient perimeter shooting would be a valuable addition to the 76ers. The primary motivation for the 76ers is to move Paul George's contract. The deal sends out his large and long-term contract to acquire a more valuable player on a better contract.

Acquiring Paul George could provide a solid veteran presence and mentor for the Jazz's young core.
