The Kings are, or at least should be, rebuilding. They want assets and shouldn’t mind taking on salary. They could also flip Buttler next year after/if he recovers. Sabonis’ value is difficult to assess, but considering the lack of returning assets this might be a limited return for him.

This seems like a typical trade Trey Murphy trade, but as Kuminga’s value has taken a hit, this would also be in the light side.
