Not sure if this is the best offer for the seasoned DPOY, but as far as return for both teams and his want to return to Michigan, it just makes too much sense.

When you play JJJ next to Duren and Ausar, he adds rim protections, perimeter and interior defense, as well as becoming a true Isolation scorer that Detroit desperately lacked during the playoffs. His best years were playing with a great rebounding center and wings who could defend the perimeter like Dillon Brooks and Kyle Anderson. I have no doubt he could do the same if not better being placed with Duren and Ausar.

Only way Memphis does this is if A) they plan on trading Ja Morant for other young pieces (wings), and B) they commit to a rebuild/retool. I think this is one of the better returns Memphis could get as they get a great scoring guard who is a hard worker and culture building center that defends the paint at an elite level for his size.
