Why the Hawks do it:They need a true point guard and though Kyrie is more of a combo guard he is closer to a point guard than CJ so adding him gives them a better point guard, they also add a good scorer to take sole of the pressure off of Jalen Johnson and NAW

Why the Mavs do it:They add 20 million in expiring money in CJ which is nice, they aren’t really ready to contend yet so getting flexible cap space next year will help them sign someone, Kispert is a good bench shooter and getting two firsts is a very good sweetener
