I think this trade benefits both sides. Cavs move on from Jarrett Allen and get draft capital and a young player in Ziaire Williams back that they can try to develop and resign in RFA. Kennard also gives them shooting and they can trade him at the deadline for more. Cavs take a step back in the present but are better equipped for the future.
Grizz get a nice young center that fits into this core. Now they look like: Ja, Smart, Bane, JJJ, Allen, with Vince Williams, Konchar, Clarke, Edey, GG Jackson, LaRavia, and Aldama off the bench. This is a top 6 team in the West by making this trade and they can potentially make a run in the playoffs.
FYI - this trade is assuming they cannot extend Donovan Mitchell and trade him, too.
