This trade isn’t meant to be super realistic but parts of it and some of the teams involved could definitely do this or something very similar

Portland is one of the less realistic teams only because Rudy over Jrue technically doesn’t fit what Portland has been doing lately but it does make sense roster wise Dame coming back next year plus Scoot and Sharpe they are already stacked at guard so by getting Rudy they upgrade and add another top 15 player at a premium position yes he’s one dimensional and immobile but in a bench role behind Clingan he could be one of the best bench guys in the league

I also think it improves them as a whole and makes them have more cap to spend on the more rich FA spots this offseason

Chicago well I think they do it it’s basically trading a player who they ran into the ground so hard and made a negative asset for an injured player aka another negative asset I don’t think this does much maybe they need a second but lemme know

BKN does this because they don’t own their 27 first so being terrible isn’t going to help so by adding Randel they actually get another scoring of any caliber can help them plus they have some money to spend so they can try to add a few guys to help them be competent this year and try to make a run at the playin and all they lose is a second in 28 and a late first next year in an incredible weak draft class

This also does have them losing Claxton but he doesn’t help them that mucb and they can really let Sharpe take the reigns as the center

Toronto is pretty obvious they get Claxton who is a great fit and improvement for them and they only have to give up RJ who’s just been ok and a future swap so not much for a significant upgrade plus they can let the young guys like Walter and Dick play more

Minnesota is the most questionable one because they obviously have a great team that’s had playoff success 3 but they obviously aren’t on par with the top teams in the west and aren’t good enough to make the finals so a reset/retool is necessary

This obviously doesn’t mean I think they should tank but try to add second and firsts in the near future and this does that well

They trade solid starters for worse starters and picks primarily and also upgrade at the guard position with Jrue and also make some solid FA signings that will help them as well

Overall it’s a very unique idea one that isn’t the most realistic but certainly one that at least gives each team something to think about lemme know you’re thoughts and who says no and why
