Pacers:
For this year: Kessler had a season-ending surgery (shoulder labrum, so it shouldn't affect his performance). So the tanking is still on. No problem there.
Future season: Pacers need a solid big man badly, Kessler is a top 5 Rebounder AND rim-protector while being only 24. He also worked on his shot and showed quite the improvement before the injury on both 3pt% and FT% (admittedly on a very small sample size, but I think it's a good precursor for the future)
Jazz:
Kessler had been frustrated about how he was treated in the contract negotiations.
He is now going to be an RFA with no contract year to play in.
Utah gets Jarace, the former 8th pick, who is a very high ceiling 22 yo: He is a super athletic 6'8 sharpshooter. He can rebound and defend very well, and also playmake. His offence is still a work in progress, and it remains to be seen if he can elevate this part of his game. A worthwhile project for Utah.
They also get a FRP and their own SRP.
