Warriors decide to blow it up given the Jimmy Butler news. The Rockets and Pistons both move all in. The Lakers retool to actually build a competitive roster, and the Kings get younger.

Lets start with the Rockets. It's a very simple idea...Steph Curry and KD reunite, need I say more. This Rockets team has been disappointing, and it's all due to their lack of point guard play/3 point shooting, why not go out and get the best in the league in both departments. Now to get Steph, it sure isn't cheap. It costs them their entire future besides any picks, in losing Thompson and Sheppard. Losing Adams is also a big blow, hopefully salvaged by replacing him with Bball Paul, and old Al Horford for more depth. Vanfleet and Finney-Smith don't hurt too much to lose, but you have to admit their ceiling for this year, and next year raises dramatically.

The Pistons are in the same boat. They lose a good bit here to get a few great pieces. Draymond fits their defensive mindset to a tee, and I love the idea of Draymond being a connective piece in this offense to alleviate the playmaking pressure off Cade. They also get a great young gaurd to pair next to Cade in AR, which also provides desperate shooting that this team needs. They also get Demar, mainly to replace Thompson's position, and add veteran presence, and a great role player in Moody. They do part ways with the young stud in Thompson, a flyer in Ivey, a proven player in Harris, probably the best reserve center contract in the league in Bball Paul, and a couple low value 1sts.

The Lakers finally get competent players around Luka and Lebron. First and foremost, they lose Austin, which hurts, but with the construction of this team, they don't need his offense, and they desperately need defense. They do replace some of his Austins offense with Monk, but get a great big in Adams, and great defenders in Dodo and Keon. Austin is the only high price it costs, but they do also give up a 2031 1st swap that could end up being a high value pick, but also, the Warriors could be worse than the Lakers at that point, so a roll of the dice pick.

The Kings simply get three young flyers (or cap relief if they choose) to move off Demar and Monk, and it comes at the price of Keon Ellis.

Lastly, the Warriors...it's time to give Steph a chance to win somewhere else. I think you have to do right by him, and give him a chance to win, because this team has no chance as it stands. Words can't state how much it would hurt to lose Steph, not even in on the court matters, but for the franchise as a whole, but you can't ask for a much better return than this. In return for selling the farm, you get a few picks that could turn into nothing, but none the less, more assets to your arsenal. But the cake comes in 3 players, Reed Sheppard, who very well could fill the Steph role to a much lesser extent, and you do one of the craziest moves I haven't even heard mentioned, you pair the Thompson twins together to create the best wing defense in the league by themselves. Not only would you future be set, and you have an obvious image of what to reshape your franchise around, but you can easily tweak this team to be competitive as soon as next year. Vanfleet comes back, and your looking at a roster of Vanfleet, Thompson, Jimmy, Thompson, and Post, with Sheppard off the bench. You're really not far off from a decent roster there.

I love this trade for all teams, I personally think everyone benefits from this, but obviously I could see every team involved in this trade easily saying no. Let me know who you think gets the best and worst end of the bargain!
