WHY THIS TRADE BENEFITS BOTH OF THE TEAMS

• MAGIC needs a PG that will complement their two franchise players' games, and Tyus Jones is the best fit. Jones is a very underrated player. Great playmaker, much better shooter than Fultz, and basketball iq is off the charts. Though Fultz is much more athletic and a better defender than Jones, he fits with Paolo better since he could shoot threes and playmake, which what Orlando needs right now. The best back up PG last season will flourish with this team.

• WIZARDS take a flyer in Fultz who is a good PG, defender, and still has a ton of potential. The former No.1 overall pick goes to a rebuilding team where he could play more freely since there is no pressure playing on the Wizards. He is much bigger and athletic than Jones, puts pressure on the rim which could benefit their scorers like JP and Kuz who has no problem hitting the outside three. The Wizards will go for potential here since Fultz is still young and has shown glimpse of why he was picked first overall.
