I'm assuming the rockets are trying to compete now since they signed fred and brooks. Rockets only do this trade if they are truly committed to competing now, Caruso plays better when he's playing with a good defender (lonzo and Beverley for example) so I believe him and Dillon would be a deadly defensive duo.
