Celtics Situation: As is well known, the Celtics' owners are looking to remain outside the first tier of the luxury tax. This season, what better way to trade than to acquire some of their best options, receiving lower salaries but very good players like Claxton and Alexander Walker. Both players will earn less than this season (23 million for Claxton and 14 million for AW).
Hawks Situation: After making some changes in this winter market, the Hawks' fans weren't as happy as expected, even though they traded their former star player Tre Young to the Wizards. Therefore, for next season, it's important for the team to acquire their starting center and a second/third option to complement the team's current and future star, JJ. Key players include White and Gafford.
Nets situation: The Nets are currently looking to tank, some of their players are so good that they are not suitable for tanking (MPJR and Claxton), that is why this season the Nets should focus, apart from the draft, on finding places for these players, in exchange for role players or players with future potential like JK.
Mavericks Situation: The Mavericks have been very active, trading their second star, AD, making it clear that the Luka thing was crazy, but acquiring CF. That's why they'll be looking not only for the future but also to create more salary cap space to potentially land a significant free agent in 2027. McCollum isn't obligated to stay, just like Middleton; both players are likely to leave for free or sign a more manageable contract.
