TRADE EXPLANATION:
Philadelphia 76ers – Philly moves on from Paul George and his awful contract and his injury concerns. they acquired Lauri, who is a borderline all-star that will fit well with this team, forming a front-court duo with Embiid. lauri is a borderline 20+ ppg scorer and one of the best volume 3pt shooters in the league. a trio of maxey - lauri and Embiid can be a finals-contending team. they traded the #3 pick, unfortunately, but with a win-now mentality, they would be willing to do that. they also got the #21 pick, they can try and select a Rasheer Flemming. they resigned Grimes and Yabusele for depth purposes.
Utah Jazz – the Jazz gets the #3 pick, with them being in a full rebuilding phase, they try and get a prospect in the draft who they can build around. they now have the #3 and #5 picks, which is very promising. Although they also acquired Paul George and his awful contract, which is bad, but with how spacious their salary cap is, they will be willing to do that. they could also try and get his value up, then trade him at the deadline.
