The 76ers and Kings complete a trade for Tobias Harris which gives both team what they need. The 76ers get off of the contract for Tobias Harris and add two solid role players in Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes. The 76ers would replace Tobias Harris with Harrison Barnes who is a pretty solid player and they get someone who would be a top 5 backup center in the NBA in Richaun Holmes. Meanwhile the Kings would add Tobias Harris because they are trying to win right now and Tobias would be a pretty noticeable upgrade over Harrison Barnes. They also get off of multiple contracts to acquire a player who is definitely better than anyone Philadelphia has. This would make the Kings close to becoming a playoff team which I believe they can achieve in 2023-24. I think they would have to wait another year because the West is extremely talented this season. The Kings now have a rotation of: PG: De'Aaron Fox SG: Kevin Huerter SF: Keegan Murray PF: Tobias Harris C: Domantas Sabonis Bench Unit PG: Davion Mitchell SG: Malik Monk SF: Terrence Davis PF: Chimezie Metu C: They could sign someone in Free Agency to be a backup center such as Montrezl Harrell I can definitely see the Kings being a Play In Team this year and a playoff team next year with this roster.
The 76ers also have a rotation of: PG: Tyrese Maxey SG: James Harden SF: Harrison Barnes PF: PJ Tucker C: Joel Embiid Bench Unit PG: Shake Milton SG: De'Anthony Melton SF: Matisse Thybulle PF: Danuel House C: Richaun Holmes They also still have a solid third string with two good shooters in Furkan Korkmaz and Georges Niang and they have a decent third string power forward Trey Lyles. They still have Jaden Springer and Paul Reed to be their third string point guard and Center. Charles Bassey and Trevelin Queen can have two way contracts.
While losing Tobias could hurt the 76ers, they add more depth as they finally have a reliable backup center for an entire season (Sorry Andre Drummond) including the playoffs. Richaun Holmes also is familiar with Philly which I think would be good for their System. While Barnes is a downgrade from Harris, it isn't that big of a downgrade. The Kings also get to form a mini big three of Sabonis, Fox, Harris. While that might not turn any heads, don't sleep on them at all.
