The Raptors do this series of trades mainly for the picks. This is three separate one and one deals.

The first deal the Raptors get a valuable first for Kelly Olynick. They get back an expiring contract Larry Nance cap flexibility after this year.

The second deal they get Chris Paul another expiring contract. (In deal they also wave Chris Paul allowing him to become a free agent) and another first for Bruce Brown who isn’t on your timeline.

The third is for Wiggins Again this trade is for the pick, but this one might work out in the Raptors favor a bit. Wiggins has been awful for Golden Stare and on a pricey contract which is why you get a pick for him. But the guy is from Canada and you have two young wings in Barrett and Barnes who he can mentor. It’s certainly risky but I think he can revive his career a bit here
