Kispert is one of the best shooters in the league and could be very beneficial for Denver’s bench now that KCP is no longer a part of the team. This will no doubt not be an upgrade from KCP but it’s still an upgrade to the current Nuggets roster that is lacking depth.

On the other hand this would be a good deal for Washington because they’d most likely not be extending Kispert’s contract in the 2026 free-agency. They are getting the 2020 22nd overall pick Zeke Nnaji and a 2nd round pick for Kispert who like I said is an expiring contract who they will most likely not extend. There has been a lot of trade talks considering Kuzma who could most definitetly be traded in the near future. If Kuzma would get traded Nnaji could get a decent amount of playing time.

I see this as a trade that would satisfy both parties. Washington could still decide to just keep Kispert and extend him if other teams aren’t too interested in his abilities.
