Kings

Monty McNair so far this off-season has been successful as many needs for the roster have been addressed, however, there are two that remain; quality wing depth and high impact defenders. With Jae Crowder, they adress both of those needs and add even more. With Jae, you'll get his communication, physicality, awareness, gritty toughness and on-ball versatility that makes him one of the best wing defenders in the NBA. On offense, he'll fit right into the princeton offense with his ability to move the ball quickly, hit the open 3, unselfishness, screen setting, ability to attack closeouts and movement without the ball. He does all of that on low volume shot attempts as he's limited as a on-ball as a creator, but that won't hinder the Kings one bit with their plethora of scoring options. Recent 4th overall pick Keegan Murray, while he seems NBA ready, is still a rookie and can learn from Jae Crowder too, a extra layer to an already fantastic opportunity for Keegan Murray's NBA career. With a 2023 2nd from the Pacers, a likely lottery team, that selection will likely be in the mid-30's and make up lost value in sending out a 1st.

Probable main rotation players

  • De'Aaron Fox

  • Malik Monk

  • Davion Mitchell

  • Kevin Huerter

  • Jae Crowder

  • Harrison Barnes

  • Keegan Murray

  • Domantas Sabonis

  • Richaun Holmes

Suns

Last playoffs, the Suns offense got shut down by the Mavericks for stretches as Chris Paul was full court pressed, Deandre Ayton was getting too few touches and the defense was then able to overload on Devin Booker without being heavily punished. With Bojan Bogdanovic, that will be a thing of the past. In the playoffs, he has an average of ~62% TS on 13 shot attempts in the playoffs since he joined the Jazz^, a efficient main scoring option. He also gets to the line ~4 times a game^ as he can get to the rim with consistency, something the Suns desperately need on offense. Does this scoring come at a cost to the functionality of the Suns' main three offensive weapons? Nope. Why? Bojan can move without the ball and is one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA over the last three seasons; ~40% on ~7 attempts a game^. Defensively, he has many weaknesses both on and off the ball, but his main strength in matching up with physical big wings will complement Mikal Bridges as those are less than ideal match-ups for him.

Probable main rotation players

  • Cam Payne

  • Chris Paul

  • Landry Shamet

  • Devin Booker

  • Mikal Bridges

  • Cam Johnson

  • Bojan Bogdanovic

  • Deandre Ayton

  • Bismack Biyombo

Jazz

In full rebuild mode, Danny Ainge has gone after 1st round picks aggressively while taking back no negative value contracts. With the 2023 1st from the Suns, they add their highly coveted 1st along with a 2nd in 2024 from the Mavs in return for Bojan. All the players in return are expiring contracts as well so the Jazz are not locked into any negative value contract; Alex Len, Terence Davis and Dario Saric.
