I really like this for them, Orlando have been impressive in limited time with their stars, their role players have been a huge part of that. They have came up big, filling in roles for Suggs, Banchero, Wagner when they've been injured. We just got news that Banchero is coming back this week during a back to back (Thankyou fantasy gods) and they have a bit of separation over the teams below but aren't really close to the contenders above him, So they should probably buy. the most glaring problem for them is the shooting and guard play although Cam Johnson isn't a guard, he bring the shooting in abundance brings some experience he gained coming up on the contending Phoenix Suns teams. You give up Cole Anthony, Jett Howard and 2 1sts. Cole Anthony has had his moment but has somewhat struggled on this team, and in terms of contract he makes the money work quite well. the Magic have quite a lot of space so they don't have to mach the contracts so they move Jett Howard. Now Howard is a 1st round pick and I like his game but he also has really struggled to get minutes on this roster and a new team where he can get some more minutes and get the ball more. The magic don't have to be worried about picks too much, this wouldn't leave them drained of picks, you put a protection on the 2027 pick although you expect to be good an you move a pick in 2026.

Where does this leave them?

One move away, I think you are 1 strong guard away from contending. You have amazing role-players already, you add Cam Johnson and you work towards getting a guard, Anthony Black could be that guy, but you have to let him gain experience. One thing about this team is they are just so young that this deal has to be for the future too, you have to keep your guys, let Paolo and Franz reach their potential and you already have all the pieces to challenge the Knicks, Celtics and Cavaliers out East.

You get a young piece, an interesting guard to work with and two future firsts, really the type of package you want as the nets, gives you a bit more versatility with your team and allows you to tank which is important.
