The grizzlies have flamed out of the playoffs, getting swept in the first round. The front office sees this and says fuck it, get ja some help, and bring in the best name on the market: Kevin Durant. This brings in shooting, a secondary ball handler, and a lot of scoring, at the price of age and depth. This move makes their window smaller, as who knows how many years KD got left in him, but makes them a genuine threat the west. They look to bring in backup bigs in free agency. Maybe Steven Adams to bring in his crazy rebounding or Clint Capela as just a serviceable big to catch lobs and get boards. Maybe after this move they’ll actually be fine in the west.

The suns needed change, bring in Desmond bane, try to play his value up and flip him next offseason/trade deadline, and probably look to trade Dbook for a haul, (maybe rockets/magic). They then build through the draft, build a young core, and look to compete again with 6-7 years.
