Herb Jones would be a great addition to this current iteration of the Charlotte Hornets roster and would add one of the biggest things they currently lack an elite wing defender

They give up Grant Williams and Liam McNeeley who aren’t vital to their current or long term success as it seems I’d also say that Grant won’t be a huge loss as they have multiple serviceable backup 4s including promising rookie Hannes Steinbach

New Orleans may prefer the 2032 first unprotected instead of the swap or prefer an additional pick swap somewhere down the line either way it’s still a good move for Charlotte

As for New Orleans they get salary back as well as McNeeley who has some potential as a shooter he also fits their current timeline a lot better then Herb who is more so geared towards helping a winning team

New Orleans may want slightly more draft capital as stated and they could definitely get an additional pick or swap in this deal I’m just unsure of Herbs value and overall need to Nola
