There are reports that the Mavs might want to start a full rebuild around Cooper Flagg after firing Nico Harris. This starts with trading Kyrie and AD. As well as Klay and probably Gafford.

I’m going to make multiple parts to this and this is part 1. Trading AD.

Only super realistic trades I could see happening this season or offseason.

AD to the Bulls makes the most sense and under this specific situation where AD was blindsided I’m sure he’d like to be rerouted to Chicago where he’s already stated he would love to play at.

Bulls trade 2 future FRPs and 2 guys on one year deals along with Patrick Williams. Bulls probably would have resigned Vuc but Coby White was most likely gone especially with Ayo and Tre Jones. And Patrick Williams has not been panning out to what they had hoped so getting off that contract they gave him is awesome.

Mavs still get a good defensive player out of Williams and he can hopefully develop better. You get Vuc and Coby White who are possible rentals but would both be great to keep as well if the price is right. I think for sure keep Coby White if you can resign him for $15-25M/yr. Vuc would also be nice to have to mentor Derick Lively for a couple years if you can resign him to $20-25M. But I’d probably just let him go and let Liveky get full time starter position now.
