Wizards: Trae for CJ and Kispert
Bucks: In exchange for swapping Kyle Kuzma for Jerami Grant, the Bucks agree to transfer ownership over the swap rights of their 2028 and 2030 firsts from Portland to Atlanta.
Portland: This deal is complicated on the picks front and players.
Starting with the picks: Portland transfers control over the 2028 and 2030 Bucks picks to Atlanta. They keep their own 28 and 30 picks, but can no longer swap with Milwaukee. In exchange, they get unprotected firsts from Atlanta in 2029 and 2031, as well as the 1st Atlanta receives this year (not the Pelicans trade first).
On the players front, Portland sends out Jerami Grant, Robert Williams, and Jrue Holiday in exchange for CJ McCollum, Kristaps Porzingis, Asa Newell, and former #1 pick Zaccharie Risacher. Sending out Jrue and Grant gets them off an enormous amount of long term money, and they could bring CJ back on a similar deal that Dame got this summer. Most importantly, getting a chance at rehabbing a #1 overall pick is huge, especially considering his potential fit with the organizational vision going forward.
Atlanta: The Hawks portion is the most complicated. First, they move from Trae Young to Jrue Holiday. Jrue is theoretically an offensive downgrade, but fits far cleaner with how Snyder wants to play through Jalen Johnson. Secondly, they mortgage some of their picks and cap flexibility in order to get full control over Milwaukee's 29 and 30 1sts. This would be a massive indication of their interest in Giannis. Basketball wise, this still makes some sense. Their starting 5 of Jrue Dyson NAW Johnson and Okongwu is extremely switchable and feisty defensively. Off the bench, Kispert provides shooting, Williams provides rim protection, and Kuzma provides something.
