The reality is the lakers will be good or bad but have already gave up the 2027 pick. It’s top 4 protected and the likely hood it’s in the lottery is slim. Even if in the lottery the odds are terrible to be in top 4. Jazz are suckers but also want ways to offset this issue with pick swaps.

Lakers didn’t give up any picks and saved money and got a better player. The odds of swapping picks is slim. The Jazz have other teams with swaps and eventually nothing happens and if it does then feel bad because lakers really had to suck to be worse then the Jazz.
