Why Each Team Does This:

Miami Heat: Kuzma helps the heat with a lot of their problems. He brings the team scoring off the dribble in the post, Catch and shoot ability, rebounding, and defense. With this trade they still have the trade pieces to upgrade their bench if they felt the need to.

Detroit Pistons: They get picks and a young player in Gafford who is on a long contract. They also get a shooter who has lost rhythm but I think a change of scenery can get him back into his rhythm and when he is there he is a deadly shooter who can be flipped for a pick next season.

Washington Wizards: They get a young Power forward who has shown the potential to become a dangerous offensive player. He is on a cheaper contract to Kuzma and a longer one since Kuzma has a player option for next year which he will most likely decline and sign somewhere else. They also upgrade their backup center position if they still want to try and compete after the trade deadline.
