Well Celtics would definitely do this but I don’t think mavs does this but if Celtics add 2FRP they might but this will give Boston something they lacked.

You want to create a bucket you get a bucket with luka. Everything Luka lacks in a FO to help him surround with better team mates Celtics have those things. The best thing about this trade. LUKA IS WHITE AND CELTICS CROWD WILL LOVE THAT LMAO. Also this gives Jalen Brown the clear role that he’s the 2nd best player on that team with Tatum which doesn’t seem to look every now and then. Luka could go 1v1 against any top5 player in the league and having THJ a streaky 3pt chucked would just make this deal better in long run.

Why mavs does this: They won’t get anyone closer to Tatum + smart for Luka. Maybe they might think OKC, Knicks, Magic, jazz, Pels can provide better draft compensation but Tatum would be the best they could get, while being competitive.
