The Trade: Trae Young, Cody Zeller, 2025 SRP via MIN, 2028 Swap Worst, and 2031 Swap Worst to Miami for Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier, Jaime Jacquez, 2028 Swap Best, 2029 FRP, 2031 Swap Best, and 2031 SRP
Why The Hawks Do This:
Let’s be real: with Trae Young at the helm, they’re going to be mid for some time. This trade helps them accumulate more picks and still stay relatively competitive.
Why the Heat Do This:
Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is 34 and not getting any younger. Soon enough, we’re going to start seeing significant regression from Butler. And, once we reach that point, if the Heat don’t make a big move, it’s likely going to put a large pause on any championship hopes they have. A big 3 of Adebayo, Young and Butler may be just enough to get it done.
