Pretty much only works if Mitchell is adamant about going to the Lakers and makes it publicly known.

AD & Spida is one of the best fits I can think of for the Lakers long-term. Even if LeBron leaves they will still be competitive.

Value for Cleveland is good I think. Not as much as they could get in a vacuum but they don't have all the leverage in the world. Rui is really good 3&D role player and Reaves is a nice scoring burst to have off the bench or starting depending on what other moves go through.

'30 LAL pick is '31

Lakers Lineup

  • Russell / Vincent

  • Mitchell / Dinwiddie

  • Vanderbilt / Prince (Pick up some minimum veteran)

  • LeBron / Wood

  • AD / Jax

In my head canon this trade also goes through for the Cavs: https://fanspo.com/nba/s/pelicans/trades/2k-AYkO7mJTU-I/updated-pelicans-off-season-plan

Cavs Lineup

  • Garland / Reaves

  • Strus / Merrill (Sign a vet or draft someone)

  • Rui / Okoro

  • Ingram / Niang / Wade

  • Mobley / Thompson (Sign a vet or draft someone)
