The Knicks get Giannis and go for it now in their championship window.
Giannis gets his preferred destination.
Thanasis joins his brother, and returns to the team that drafted him.
Matkovic comes in as a backup stretch big.
The Bucks get Zion and Cam Thomas as incoming talent, along with a collection of draft picks to build into the future.
Zion leaves a New Orleans situation that hasn't been a good fit, and joins an organization that has some experience with elite level talent.
Cam Thomas leaves a Brooklyn Nets team that doesn't want to negotiate the kind of contract that he's looking for, and joins a team that actually has a need at his position, giving him the opportunity to become a franchise point guard, and get paid.
Kevon Looney joins as another solid, gritty veteran piece for Doc Rivers.
The Nets acquire Karl Anthony Towns, and pair him next to Michael Porter Jr.
For Sean Marks, it means that they were able to flip Mikal Bridges and Nic Claxton into KAT, while still finishing up at a net gain on picks.
They also acquire Guerschon Yabusele who's an easy fit with coach Jordi Fernandez and the kind of play style that he's putting together.
KAT gets to stay in New York, and with D'Angelo Russell, one of his best friends in the league, having a player option with Dallas this year, they may finally have the opportunity to reunite as teammates.
And, if in the off chance another opportunity opens up where some other close friends (like Devin Booker or Anthony Edwards) become available, the Nets would be in prime position, with plenty draft capital, to make an offer.
Beyond the talent they're acquiring, this is a high upside opportunity play for the Nets, without sacrificing too much in picks.
The Pelicans finally get to move on from the Zion Williamson era, and focus fully on developing the team around Derik Queen, Trey Murphy, and Herb Jones, using this trade to add depth.
They add a major front court depth piece in Nic Claxton, and also two more two-way depth pieces at the wing position with Terance Mann, and young prospect Pacome Dadiet. Both of whom provide additional reinforcement in their roles behind Herb Jones and Trey Murphy.
The Pelicans are also able to acquire two second round draft picks (and keep their Milwaukee swap) in this trade, and move off of the Kevon Looney contract, where Looney hasn't proven to be the right match for the team.
